COVID-19 Travel Updates

  • Due to the widespread of the COVID-19 pandemic, visa-free entry has been suspended for numbers of countries. Visa requirements for overseas passport holders will be updated from January 2022 regularly.
  • Please direct any questions regarding entry to Korea and quarantine requirements to your nearest Korean Embassy or Consulate, as the terms and conditions vary. Please see here for COVID-19 Travel Updates.

Korea Electronic Travel Authorization (K-ETA)

For participants from visa waiver and visa-free countries (112 countries)

K-ETA is an online electronic travel authorization that visa-free foreign visitors need to obtain before enterting the Republic of Korea for the purpose of tour, visiting relatives, participating in events or meetings, or business. K-ETA is for nationals of 112 visa waiver and visa-free countries and list of countries can be found here.



Important Notes

  • - Of 112 countries, there are 62 countries currently suspended from K-ETA application due to COVID-19 (as of 5 January 2022). Please find the latest information here.
  • - To apply for K-ETA, please visit the website at https://www.k-eta.go.kr/portal/apply/index.do.


For visa-required participants

After completing the registration at the IAUGA 2022, in-person participants may request a letter of invitation at My Page. Please direct any questions regarding entry to Korea and quarantine requirements to your nearest Korean Embassy or Consulate, as the terms and conditions vary
